Robin Williams was born in Chicago. His father, Robert Fitzgerald, worked at Ford Motor Company while his mother, Laura, was a former professional model. His father is a rich man since he was in charge of all the company’s subdivisions in Midwest. Anselm McLaurin, his grandfather from his mother’s side, was the governor of Mississippi and a senator. Williams graduated from Redwood High School and continued to study at Claremont McKenna College. When he was 22 years old, he was accepted in Julliard School.

Robin’s career in the entertainment industry started in the late 1970s when he casted for a role in Mork & Mindy. Good Morning Vietnam was his first movie that successfully gained success. Through the film, he was nominated for the Oscar and his name was established among other actors. Dead Poets Society was his next film that raised his name.
