David Miscavige was born on April 30, 1960, in Pennsylvania, United States. He was the youngest child of his parents. He was raised in New Jersey, in a Roman Catholic Polish Italian family. His father Ronald Miscavige was a trumpet player. During his childhood, he suffered from various allergies and asthma but he was miraculously cured of his illness during a 45-minute Dianetics session. After his cure, his family joined Scientology and moved to England, the church’s world headquarter.

David attended high school at Marple, Newton, and returned to Philadelphia to complete school. He left school at the age of 16 and moved to Florida to join a sea org, which was a religious order that controlled all Scientology management organizations.

David was a smart kid who rose up the ranks quickly to become Scientology founder, L. Ron Hubbard’s confident at the age of 16. He got power after Hubbard’s power and lifted up the organization.   • David also founded the Religious Technology Center (RTC) in 1982 to oversee the use of all symbols, texts, and trademarks of Scientology and Dianetics. He holds the position of the organization’s Chairman of the Board since 1986. Hubbard’s son accused David of manipulating his father as he wanted to control the organization. But later Hubbard referred to David as a good friend and trusted associate in a written statement.

His wife started serving as his official assistant when David became the Chairman of the Board (COB) of Scientology’s Religious Technology Center. She also allegedly filled several job vacancies without telling his husband.

A close friend of David’s wife Leah Remini filed a police report claiming that she has been missing since her last appearance in 2007. According to the organization’s members, she was kept captive in California.
